Dr. Tara Kipp
Dr. Kipp joined our team in July 2007. She received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2001 from Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine. Her special interests include nutrition and increasing owner awareness of the quality of pet foods available. For fun, she enjoys playing with her three greyhounds, riding and training her horses, drawing, playing the piano, gardening, photography and sitting on her porch watching the wild birds with her husband.
Dr. Cecilia Negron
Dr. Negron joined our team in August 2019. She was born and raised in Puerto Rico, where she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Animal Science from the University of Puerto Rico in 2010. She then moved to Raleigh, NC, to complete her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine at North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine. Being from Puerto Rico, Dr. Negron can help both Spanish and English-speaking clients alike. Her special interests include surgery and “low-stress handling” techniques, in hopes of making the visits more comfortable for our furry family members. In her spare time, she enjoys indoor and outdoor gardening, as well as, science fiction and fantasy movies and, occasionally, playing video games.
Dr. Gracie Skaff
Dr. Skaff joined our team in October 2019. She received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Mississippi State University in 2016. Her special interests include dentistry, preventive care, geriatric medicine and dermatology. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, attending classic rock concerts, watching college sports, reading, antiquing and clay target shooting.
Dr. Toni Sugg – Retired
Dr. Sugg retired in August of 2019 and will occasionally be here as a relief veterinarian. She began working at Piedmont Veterinary Clinic in 1988. She received a Bachelors of Science in Medical Technology and then a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine at North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1987. Prior to working at Piedmont Veterinary Clinic, she was a Medical Technologist for 8 years at the University of North Carolina and in the Army Reserves Hospital Unit for 14 years with a final rank of Major. Her special interest as a veterinarian is performing surgery. When not working, she spends time with her kitties and enjoys participating in any water activities, including boating and kayaking at the beach, the lake or river. She also plays on a Senior Softball National Team that travels to tournaments along the east coast and as far as Texas.
